Kamakura, 1 hour by train or bus from Tokyo, was once the seat of a feudal government established in 1192 as the first of its kind in Japan. It is now noted for its historic sites and seaside bathing beach.
Kamakura has many renowned temples and shrines as well as well-preserved historical treasures surrounded by beautiful hills in a rustic setting.

The 3-day tour visits the Fuji Five Lakes area and Hakone, famous as a summer resort, and enjoys hot springs and stunning views of Mt Fuji.
We will visit halfway up the World Heritage-registered Mt. Fuji and experience the majestic nature with mountains, lakes, and volcanic activity. You can also enjoy the history of the Shogun era.

Origami Experience

Activity Content
The Japanese word origami is now recognized globally. Originally, it was meant as a gesture to symbolize wrapping your heart and giving it as a gift. Origami has a history of over 600 years. Origami has now spread across the globe, and with the addition of traditional folding techniques found in various countries, new ways of folding origami are constantly being devised. Brightly colored works made from Japanese paper and Chiyogami paper are highly valued as traditional crafts.

Calligraphy Experience

Activity Content
Calligraphy dates back roughly 1300 years as a traditional Japanese art form. Using a brush and ink, artists would artistically depict kanji and kana characters. In this experience, participants will learn from the basics of how to hold a brush in order to enjoy the strength and suppleness of characters that can only be expressed through a brush. Unlike traditional calligraphy, participants will be using matcha as ink. The beautiful green characters and the refreshing aroma of tea leaves are sure to evoke images of the Japanese garden at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo. The calligraphy can be enjoyed through writing, viewing, and even its aroma.
